Jess Gillam is the Young Ambassador for the Ulverston International Music Festival. Alongside pianist and Artistic Director Anthony Hewitt, Jess is responsible for personally engaging with hundreds of local school-children through UIMF’s outreach and education programmes.
Hot off her success at the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition, Jess will be back again with a concert designed especially for the younger audience. She’ll introduce us to the vibrant world of the saxophone with some funky pieces, chat about her experiences performing on television, and show a few video clips. There’ll even be a bit of audience participation too, concluding with a chance to ask a few questions. Come along to be entertained and amazed at Jess’ extraordinary talent.
