SNAKE DAVIS & THE SUSPICIONS WITH JESS GILLAM

£16.00

22 June | 8pm

Venue: Festival Hall,Grassington

Snake Davis is well known for his solos on the hits of M-People, Lisa Stansfield and Take That but is at his happiest and fieriest when out doing his own thing live.

With their soulful playing, sax led versions of Stax, Motown and Atlantic classics, the Northern Soul scene has embraced The Suspicions, and when you see them perform it’s easy to understand why. They are  renowned as the best soul band performing live in the UK today with Snake’s searing Junior Walker-inspired sax, the sumptuous vocals of Doreen Edwards and Sue Quinn, trumpet and a killer rhythm section.

Performing classics such as “Tainted Love”, “Sweetest Feeling”, “Green Onions”, “Love is Serious Business” and “Do I Love You”, all great to listen to, even better to dance to.

They are joined by the UK’s hottest rising sax star, 18-year-old Jess Gillam, who made history in 2016 as the first saxophonist to win the Woodwind Final of BBC Young Musician of the Year. Truly multi-award winning, she was recently featured as a Rising Star in BBC Music Magazine.
