Get ready to hit the dance floor as saxophone legend Snake Davis returns with his 8 piece soul band, for a night of Motown, Northern Soul and Atlanta Classics.
Cabaret and Balcony seating with dance area…
After taking Ulverston by storm last October, saxophone legend Snake Davis returns with his 8 piece soul band! Snake Davis is one of the music world’s best kept secrets. He is a saxophonist of almost unparalleled gifts who has played with the best in the business through a career spanning three decades. Snake has performed and recorded with artists such as Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Eurhythmics, Ray Charles and M-People to name but a few. Often heralded as the best soul band performing in the UK, the Suspicions includes some of the UK’s finest musicians; current and former members of M-People, Simply Red and Swing Out Sister.
Snake and the band will be joined by Jess Gillam. In 2016, Jess was the first ever saxophonist to reach the Final of BBC Young Musician of the Year aged 17. She has been described as “the sound of the future” by Melvyn Bragg and as somebody who “already has her place in the saxophone hall of fame” by John Harle – who she is performing with earlier in the year at the Coro.
