She then reached the grand final, performing Michael Nyman’s Where the Bee Dances with the BBC Symphony Orchestra to widespread critical acclaim. She made her Proms debut in 2017, has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic and other orchestras, and given recitals throughout the UK. As well as her passion for performance Jess also has an interest in promoting live music and runs an annual concert series in her home town of Ulverston, Cumbria.
