Don’t miss the third night of Classical Vauxhall as rising sax star Jess Gillam takes the stage with lauded Turkish pianist Zeynep Özsuca. We’ll go on a musical journey taking you from dark, mysterious beginnings with pieces such as John Dowland’s ‘Flow My Tears’, before moving towards an inspiring ‘Histoire de Tango’ by composer Astor Piazzolla.
Jess has been lighting up the Classical Music world with a mixture of her infectious enthusiasm and her incredible skills. Having performed at the 2018 Last Night of the Proms, she has since been leading the charge of bringing classical music to new audiences. Jess is the first saxophonist to be signed to Decca Classics and her debut album, Rise, shot to No.1 in the Official UK Classical Charts.
Zeynep has performed on prestigious stages including the Berlin Philharmonie, Palau de la Musica Valencia, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Queen Elizabeth Hall as well as live radio broadcasts on Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio, RBB Kulturradio (Germany), RNE (Spain), BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 (UK).
Classical Vauxhall is your chance to enjoy the finest classical talent streamed into your home, filmed live in concert in Vauxhall London across 4 nights. We can’t be together but we can still stay connected through music. After a sold out inaugural event in February 2020, we have decided to bring the event online, showing our little corner of south-west London to the world.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy classical music, so we have made this event entirely free to stream. Ticketing via eventbrite.
